Getting admission to NISER with 60 marks totally depends on candidates category. Candidates belonging to General category has less chance of getting admision with 60 marks in NEST. However, students belonging to SC/ST category have better chance of admission. The entire decision of admission will be based on the cutoff trends and Section-wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS).

Placements for Ph.D. students at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar are generally not focused on traditional campus placements like those in engineering or management fields. NISER is primarily focused on research and higher education, with many graduates pursuing further studies or research positions. While there isn't a placement cell in the traditional sense, NISER provides support for students with internships, PhD opportunities, and connections for research positions.
