NIT Calicut is better than NIT Trichy, just because of the quality of faculty there. otherwise both are same.

No, I think it is quite impossible because your rank will come out to be more than 20k, which cannot qualify you for NIT.

Yes, all architectural colleges will accept NATA phase 2 exam scores including NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology, if the seats remain vacant.
