Based on your JEE Mains rank and category, you can get admission in some of the top government colleges for B.Tech. Here are some of the colleges:

- National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar

- National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa

- National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur

- National Institute of Technology (NIT), Meghalaya¹

However, the cutoffs for NITs change every year based on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, difficulty level of the exam, etc. ²³ So it is difficult to predict whether you will get admission in any NITs or not.

With a category rank of 181,000 in JEE Mains, it might be challenging to secure admission to an NIT for B.Tech. Generally, candidates with higher ranks have a better chance of getting into NITs.

However, the cutoff ranks for NITs can vary for different branches and categories. Some branches may have lower cutoff ranks compared to others. It is recommended to check the official websites of the NITs you are interested in to get a better understanding of the previous year's cutoff ranks for different branches.

The general category under economically weaker sections with such a good ranks of 15000 is so good. You can definitely take admission in computer Science in NITs or similar. Also option of IIT ROORKEE, IIT Madras and many more will be available so just go for it.

As you say you are from a ST category then I must say yes. You get a chance of having a lower NIT's or may be NITBhopal/kurukshetra if you are lucky.

Wait for 2nd and 3rd round, you'll definitely get any of the NITs.

Best of luck

Frankly speaking, chances for getting IITs, NITs and GFTIs are moderate on the percentile. You have to improve this up to 95 for more probability in upcoming JEE Main exams.
