No, you cannot get a seat in NIT with the 87 percentile, especially for popular branches such as Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. Candidates need to score more than 95 percentile to get into an NIT. JEE Main 2023 cutoff has been raised to 90 percentile for the General category. The JEE Main cutoff varies for all NITs and will also be different for various programs or courses. The JEE Main cut-off of top NITs also varies for reserved and unreserved categories. JEE Main Cut off Marks for NIT 2021 for General EWS is 66.2
JEE Main Cut off Marks for NIT 2020 for General EWS is 70.2
JEE Main Cut off Marks for NIT 2019 for General EWS is 78.2.
