It's not possible for you to get admission in any of the NITs with 73 percentile. I would suggest you check out the college predictor tool:

It's not possible with that percentile to get admission in any of the NITs. I would suggest you go with private institutes.

Yes, this rank is okay to get into NIT. I would suggest you take admission in IIIT or IISER this will be a good choice. If you are interested in research then go for IISER.
