Yes, you may get a seat.According to your JEE Mains percentile, you may apply for any new NIT or IIIT. There may be chances for you to get an engineering seat in IIITs or NITs.

No, you can't get into any NIT or IIT with this percentile if you belong to the general category.

If you belong to the general category your percentile must be greater than 97 to get into NIT.

I think. You are not able to get core branches like CSE; ECE in nits. Your chances are low. You need to compromise branch and college. But we are able to get NIT under HS quota. Try to attend more rounds. All the best.

Disqualifying is not the last option for you. You may consult directly to CBSE regarding your issue through mail or call. As category correction comes under major correction criteria as accordingly your rank will be decided. Best regards.

I'll prefer you to opt for the NIT, Tripura as this college has better placements than NIT, Warangal in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

Hello Saikumar, The seats in these institutes are set to increase gradually every year due to various factors. Presently there are approximately 40000 seats and all of these are filled up through JoSAA. The exact increase will be announced by government Of India in consultation with individual institutions.
