NIT-Rourkela is one of the best branches. For general category candidates, to qualify for admissions to NIT, they should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th exam. For SC/ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is 65% marks in class 12th. It has the highest placement record which gives 100% placement to the students. The average salary for different science branches is around INR 5 to 8 LPA. Many companies visit the campus such as Dell, Microsoft, SAP Labs, Direct, Goldman Sachs, NCR Corporation, Oracle Apps, Cloud, Financial Services, Samsung, and Ericsson.

Hello dear,
As you want to take admission in NIT, let me tell you for a good NIT, you must score above 99 percentile so that you can stand safely for getting a good NIT with core branches. However, at minimum, you should score 90 percentile to keep you hope alive with core branches in good NIT.

Hello Sanskriti Khobragade, From this year onwards National testing agency will be declaring results of JEE Mains based on the percentile that the students have obtained and that too best of the two examination sets that were conducted. At that point only the cutoff ranking will be known. In view of this I would like to advise you to wait for a few days as the results are expected in next couple of days. Best wishes for your performance in JEE Mains.

Admission is through counselling based on rank in JEE Mains. Admissions is based on score obtained in SAT through DASA scheme for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin/ Non-Resident Indians/Overseas Citizen candidates. Please wait for the ranks and cut offs to be displayed.

There is a low chances of getting seat in NIT's as your percentile was not sufficient to get seat in any NIT's, because of heavy competition and demand of seats. So, just give a try. All the best.
