If you belong to ST or SC category, then you will surely get an NIT during counselling. If you belong to OBC category then you may or may not get an NIT. General category cannot get into NITs with this score.

Your mains score is low, even with your reservation it will be difficult for you to secure a seat for mechanical engineering. You can look at alternate branches like ICE and Production

You will not get admission in NIT because you couldn't score more than cut-off. You can apply for state government colleges.

It will be good for a person with a experience range of 3-5 years to do MBA from NIT. BHEL and RBI selected people for internships, not for final placements . Required documents needed during admission will be mailed.

You certainly have scored good marks in your board exams but your score in JEE is not satisfactory to get admission in IIT, NIT or government colleges. However you can apply for private colleges.
