No, direct admission for B.Tech programs is not offered by NIT Trichy. Admission to NIT Trichy's B.Tech programme is by entrance. A valid JEE Main score is required for admission to the B.Tech programme at the institute. To get admitted, a candidate must meet the exam requirements. Candidates who are chosen also must participate in JoSAA counselling. There isn't another admission process.

Candidates seeking admission at NIT Trichy are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. After appearing for the respective entrance exams, candidates have to apply for the counselling process for the final seat allotment.For session 2, JEE Main application form 2024 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2024 from February 2. Candidates interested in applying need to register online by visiting the website and fill the detailed application form

As you said you're weak in coding, so you should work hard and consistently to strengthen your skills on it. Many of the students doesn't usually know more regarding coding culture but once they find it familiar, they start developing their skills on it. However, if you are getting opportunities to get a better option for pursuing the course, you should go for it but if you're interested about pursuing your career in ECE you should definitely go with coding as it has a vast exposure to the tech field.
