NIT (National Institute of Technology), Trichy offers MCA to candidates who have completed their graduation/ bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks (6.5/10 CGPA) or above (55% for SC/ ST) from a recognised university with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Math as one of the subjects in any one of the semester/ years. NITs conduct NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, also known as NIMCET which is a National Level Entrance Test for admission to the MCA course. In order to get admission to a BTech programme at NIT, applicants must have a valid JEE Main score. Applicants can also take part in the JoSAA counselling round if their score is at least as high as the cutoff points. In the event that seats remain unfilled following this round, CSAB counselling will be used to fill them. Applicants for this degree must have passed the 10+2 exam with a 75% aggregate in the Science stream with PCM or PBM subjects.
A four-year full-time BE/BTech programme is offered by NIT Trichy. In order to be admitted to this programme, students must receive high JEE Main exam marks.
