NIT Warangal - National Institute of Technology

NIT, Warangal has a very nice placement scenario from all the branches. It's excellence in the academic and non-academic era makes it stand among the top technical institute of our nation.
Being situated at the most premium location of the corporates in India, it gets a benefit of attracting the national and multinational corporates.
Some extremely talented and hardworking minds get the offer for the abroad placements though this depends on the on spot need of the company.
Though the number of students getting abroad opportunities are not very large but still the national placements are remarkable sometimes touches 60 to 70 lakhs per annum.
Most of the time these placements are from the CSE EC and IT branch but still the rest of the branches get a good scope ahead.
It's not necessary that you get an on spot abroad offer but you may get an offer after a couple of months depending upon the need and your working skills. Though, it's a great part of life being in the prime institution and learning there.

Usually civil engineering students go for a masters degree or a Ph.D. program. Many of them get admits into various abroad universities. This is the trend I have mostly observed among my seniors. As per my knowledge very few core civil companies visit our college NITK, Surathkal. Some of them include L&T, BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) and the pay offered by BPCL is really good considering the fact that it is a PSU and hence includes more benefits. Apart from these core companies data analytic profile and management profile are offered by various other companies. Quantiphi analytics, Thorogood, ZS Associates, i3 consulting and many more are open to civil students in NITK.

Both NIT-Trichy and NIT-Warangal are among the top three NITs are among the best institutes in India. But NIT Trichy has been consistently ranking better than NIT Warangal for some years now. According to the MHRD rankings of engineering colleges, NIT-Trichy stands at 11th position while NIT-Warangal stands much below at 34th rank. Among the NITs NIT Trichy stands first. Coming to the mechanical department, NIT-Trichy showcased better placement statistics than NIT-Warangal. NIT Trichy had 94.8 percent placement in 2016 and 98.5 percent in 2017. While NIT-Warangal had 91.11 percent placement in 2016. In terms of the course outline and faculty, both colleges are almost equal. But recently NIT-Trichy had started the system of '"Flexible Curriculum" which allows teachers and students to discuss and decide on things like methods of evaluation and dates of exams and course outline as such. However, this system has just started and will take some time to get better. NIT-Trichy has many clubs like PSI Racing, Designers consortium and 3D aero modeling in which students can gain a lot of practical knowledge by working on real projects. I would suggest joining NIT-Trichy as the institution strives hard to improve quality of students and make them ready for the industry.

Hi there looks like comparison of NIT and IIT and that too of different branch is not good as Computer science is different and metallurgical is totally different
Both have diferentes career prospect and that too in different fields
First Computer science from IIT lead you to most prominent brands in the IT sectors like Infosys, Accenture,TCS , McKinsey and other brands with package ranging from 20 lakh to 50 lakh for tha complete CTC
Now coming to metallurgical from NIT will also lead you to various company which are dealing into Miing and other geophysics business to asses the prospect busies in the desired area like Adani reliance etc Jindal a perspective re also dealing inte field so bother have differebt perspective for the careers so it is not reasonable to compare both as they both are equally demanding in their respective fields fron the prominent recruitment agency in the country .
But I can say that IIT is bit more reputed than NIT it matters but both are premier in their nature still IIT are more tough to get in
