You should score more than 70% to get into NIT, Warangal. For CSE and other branches you should score about 50% under Open category and if you belong to some other categories like SC/ ST then 40% score will also take you to CSE. Thank you!!

In 2016, opening rank was 4605 and closing rank around was 11151. Score should be more than 220.

It actually depends solely on your interest and place of residence but if you would go by institute then chemical engineering at NIT-Warangal is better. However, if you don't prefer chemical then I would suggest EE in NIT-Raipur.
I would suggest you to refer the syllabus of both the disciplines. Whichever you are interested in learning, you go ahead with that one.
NIT-Rourkela is also doing good enough so you can surely join there as it gives a very good scope for students in extracurricular activities and study is also extraordinary. Moreover, it has a nice curriculum with awesome placements and a good package.

To get admissions into the NITs, you need to score:
NIT Delhi opening rank-3539 to 9078
NIT Surathkal-1489 to 3040
NIT Warangal-9231 to 19743

To get a good branch in NITs you need to score 200+ marks
& to get any branch in NITs you need to score 150+ in JEE exam.
Further, the board exam covers 40% weightage and the rest is JEE Exam score.
