The National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) does not have a fixed pass percentage. Instead, candidates must achieve specific percentile thresholds to qualify for admission:

  • General and EWS Categories: Candidates must score above the 75th percentile in both Part A and Part B of the NLSAT, as well as in the aggregate score of both parts. 
  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD Categories: Candidates must score above the 50th percentile in both Part A and Part B, and in the aggregate score of both parts.

To calculate your NLSAT 2026 score, follow these steps based on the marking scheme:

  • Step 1: Count the number of correct answers.
  • Step 2: Multiply the correct answers by +1 mark (each correct answer carries 1 mark).
  • Step 3: Check if there is any negative marking (as per the latest exam pattern). If applicable, deduct the marks accordingly.

Formula:
Total Score = (Number of Correct Answers * 1) – (Incorrect Answers * Negative Marking, if any)
