B.Sc Nursing is an undergraduate course (4 years) on healthcare, patient care, and medical assistance and the entrance to this programme generally requires marks of 10+2 in PCB. BPT is Bachelor of Physiotherapy 3-4.5 years undergraduate course which trains the candidates to work on physical disability and movement disorder with 10+2 PCB. The scholarships offered in these two courses are usually merit-based, need-based, government-based scholarships (e.g., Lila Poonawalla Foundation, Mother Teresa Schpolarship, Tata Trust Scholarship, National Merit Scholarships) and the students hoping to get admission in them are advised to do research on university and national scholarship websites.

It is also reported to be relatively cheaper with total cost of tuition fee of the 4-year B.Sc. Nursing course at Unity Institute of Nursing, Mangalore being 20000 Rs. or basically 40000 Rs. in total. Others also report an annual premium of 10,000 rupees. But the other websites report that tuition fee of B.Sc. Nursing can reach 2 Lacs rupees in four years. Just get in touch with Unity Institute of Nursing admission office and it is important to confirm the actual fee structure (and additional charges like hostel, mess, examination fees) by yourself and find the most updated and accurate information on the fees structure at current time of the year 2025.

In order to admit GNM Nursing, you must have passed 10+2 with minimum 40-50 percent, preferably Science in PCB combination and one of the optional subjects, English. The age is usually 17-35. The way of admission differs in this aspect: some states have state-level entrance exams (e.g. UP, Bihar, WB), and some are based on merit which is based on 12 th -grade marks only. You need to apply online over the site of the corresponding college/ university or nursing council in the state by filling in forms, uploading, and paying fees. Merit lists are published after post-application by colleges and then there is a counseling to verify documents and to allot the final seat.

To get into GMCH and PGIMER for B.Sc. Nursing, candidates need to pass the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and English, from a recognised board. Additionally, they need to appear for and qualify in the respective entrance exams: GCET for GMCH and a separate entrance exam for PGIMER, which is likely the PGIMER BSc Nursing exam. 

Entrance Exam: Candidates need to appear for and qualify in the GMCH Combined Entrance Test (GCET-2025) conducted by GMCH. 

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognised board. 

Other Requirements: Candidates should be medically fit and meet the age criteria as specified in the prospectus. 

The B.Sc. Nursing programme at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is opened only on the basis of NEET UG marks scored by the programme candidate. The next step is that after qualifying NEET UG, interested students should make their application online through the official BHU web portal. This means filling in an application; listing personal and academical information and uploading the necessary documents such as their NEET admit card and their scorecard as well as application fee payment. Candidates usually should have a 10+2 Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with set Minimum marks. The last round of admission takes place using an online counseling procedure by BHU or the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and application to these is based on merit lists using NEET score.
