Undoubtedly, Clinical Psychology can be emotionally exhausting because it involves working with people who are experiencing mental distress, trauma, or severe psychological problems.

Nonetheless, many people find the work very rewarding as long as they can set appropriate boundaries, incorporate self-care, and work under supervision with their clients. In Clinical Psychology, continued education and training, peer support, and achieving a balance between work and personal lives can help address staying below the stress threshold.

Yes, but typically Indian Clinical Psychology degrees won't be straight across in a country like the UK or USA. You typically have to do extra courses, practicum/supervision or licensing exams in other countries as well.

Every country has their own requirements for psychology professionals. Getting experience internationally, doing a PhD that is recognised abroad or passing exams like the GRE Psychology Subject Test could all definitely help enhance your chances.

Indeed, Clinical Psychologists are commonly hired by rehabilitation centres, NGOs, and community mental health groups. Their functions involve therapy, psychological support, and mental health assessments.

In these populations, they may work with clients demonstrating problems related to a substance abuse disorder, trauma subject, experienced disability, or social adjustment problems. All of these roles require a high degree of empathy, patience, and effective communication.

Clinical psychologists work specifically with the diagnosis of major mental illnesses, such as: depression, anxiety disorders and trauma focused issues. Clinical psychology programs include clinical internship, assessment experience and more therapeutic training.

Counselling psychology focuses on any given maintainable emotional challenges, relationship issues and/or stress management. Counselling psychology is more focused on the client and less diagnostic. Academic training in counselling psychology includes an in-depth focus on talk therapy and supportive counselling.

If a Clinical Psychologist has obtained the necessary qualifications and RCI registration, they can practice in hospitals, mental health centers, or rehabilitation clinics. They may assess clients, and provide therapy-based treatment.

Often schools employ counselors or psychologists, but a Master's programme is usually required to apply for these roles. The psychologist will support students with learning disabilities, emotional difficulties, and behavioral issues.

No you can have your own clinic if you are do not have license to open one by RCI. To get te license you need to first pass MPhil in Clinical Psychology.

But if you have a Master's degree you can work as a counsellor or psychologist but not independently.

Most common stream that candidates engage with to pursue psychology at undergraduate level is Arts (Humanities) stream because most Arts (Humanities) programs have Psychology in curriculum. Also Arts (Humanities) stream offers students privilege of recuperating into theories and ideas associated with mental health.

Science and Commerce students can also apply to Clinical Psychology courses. It's just a matter of interest in human behavior and willingness to learn about and help human mental wellness.
