International students with valid visas are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during their regular academic sessions. Although there aren't many jobs available on campus, Hec Montreal's Career Management Services may be able to assist students in finding work. International students enrolled part-time are not allowed to work unless they are nearing the end of their programme. If so, students are permitted to work off campus up to 20 hours a week.
Students may work both on campus and off campus, as long as they meet the requirements for both government programs.

On-campus employment: Students on an F-1 visa can work on campus for up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during winter break and summer vacation as soon as they start their studies. To obtain employment clearance from the Office of International Student & Scholar Services, a student must be enrolled full-time, maintain excellent academic standing, and meet all other requirements. Yes, Mount Royal University permits its domestic and international students to work both on and off campus while studying. In a regular semester, students are only permitted to work 20 hours a week. Students put about 40 hours per week of work throughout breaks and summer vacation. The Academic Advising Services, Cougars Athletics and Recreation, Marketing and Communications Event Volunteers, Reflectors, etc. are a few of the on-campus volunteer possibilities.
