Students from the EU/EEA (as well as students from Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland) have the same entitlement as German students and free access to the German job market. You can work up to 20 hours per week while studying. If you exceed this, you’ll be required to pay into the German social security system, and there could be a negative impact on your studies.

Students from outside the EU/EEA

Non-EU/EEA students are also able to work in Germany alongside their studies, for 120 full days or 240 half days per year. If you take a job as a student assistant or research assistant at your university, this is usually not counted in your limit. You must notify the Alien Registration Office if you take up this type of work.

Yes, IIIT Hyderabad offers part-time courses as well. The professionals are encouraged by the institute to enroll in the PG programmes on a part-time basis also. IIIT Hyderabad also offers MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes along with a few courses, namely MSIT and PGSSP courses at PG and doctoral levels. For all these courses, admission is also entrance-based. In addition to these part-time courses, IIIT Hyderabad offers degree programmes to its aspirants at UG, PG and doctorate (PhD) levels. IIIT Hyderabad admission is entrance-based for all these full-time programmes. Candidates seeking admission must apply online on the official website and the offerd courses include MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes.

The eligibility criteria for MMS part-time programme is given below:

1. The candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any faculty from any University recognised by AICTE.

2. The candidate should have acquired minimum of two years of work experience, at a supervisory / executive level, after graduation, the experience is counted from the day subsequent to the date printed on the marksheet of the degree examination passed.

3. Candidates are required to furnish the Work Experience Certificate (s) from their employer (s), totalling upto two years, in the format laid down as Exhibit - A (refer to page no. 14 of the Part-Time MMS Prospectus). This is of critical importance and applications not accompanied by the above information are likely to be rejected.
