PG Diploma

PG Diploma admissions at Department of Library and Information Science, SVU, are merit-based. Candidates willing to get enrolled in the PG Diploma programme must register their candidature by applying through the common admission portal on the official website of Somaiya Vidyavihar University. The received applications are evaluated and seats are allocated to eligible applicants based on their merit, branch preference and availability of seats. The candidates are informed about the provisional admission/ waitlist number through their registered email ID. Selected candidates must appear for document verification and submit the full course fee for seat confirmation.

Candidates willing to take admission at Department of Library and Information Science (DLIS) for PG Diploma are required to submit all the documents as specified by the department. The admission is finalised only after the submitted documents are physically verified by the department. Failing to submit the required documents within the due time will lead to the admission being cancelled. Listed below are the documents required during the admission process:

• Class 10 Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Board Certificate)
• Class 12 Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Board Certificate)
• First Year, Second Year & Third Year Mark sheet
• Third Year Passing & Convocation Certificate
• Any valid address and date of birth proof; Aadhar Card
• Marriage Certificate or Affidavit for married female candidate (for change in name)
• Passport size photograph
• Migration certificate for students from universities other than Somaiya Vidyavihar University
• Candidate whose results are awaited must submit an undertaking
