The Indian Institute of Photography does not have any default refund policy regarding course fees. Its rules state that all paid fees are usually non-refundable once submitted. But exceptions are always considered based on the case, especially in extenuating conditions. Students should therefore approach the management directly for specific issues in relation to refunds. Additionally, IIP offers financial support because it offers an "Earn While You Learn" program, through which the learner learns while earning-money, thus reducing part of the financial burden during learning.

Here are some tips for good photography:
- Plating: Arrange food in an appealing way to make it look juicy and mouth-watering.
- Lighting: Lighting is important for capturing appealing images. Soft light is the most common type of lighting used for food photography. Warm-toned lights with yellow or orange hues can create a cosy atmosphere and are well-suited for comfort foods and desserts.
- Camera and lens: A DSLR camera with a range of settings is recommended. Most entry-level lenses are good enough, but you might want to opt for a fixed lens.
- Props: Props can add visual interest and help tell the story you want to tell.
