Students can opt for MPT in specialisations like Orthopaedics, Neurology, Sports Physiotherapy and Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy after BPT. These specialisations allow students to take up senior clinical roles in hospitals and offer higher salary packages. Some of the colleges in Maharashtra also offer MPT courses like D.Y. Patil, KIMS Karad etc. while the right specialisations to pursue depends on the student's aptitude and interest, some are more popular and in demand than others.

Maharashtra has around 69 colleges offering BPT and related physiotherapy courses. This includes a mix of government, private, and deemed university colleges. Major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Karad have strong college density. Most colleges are spread across MUHS Nashik's affiliation network. This gives students plenty of choice based on location and budget. Comparing fees and placements can help you pick the right fit.

No, NEET is not mandatory for BPT admission in Maharashtra. Most private colleges admit students based on 12th-grade marks directly. Government colleges usually require MHT CET or centralised state counselling instead. This makes physiotherapy more accessible compared to MBBS or BDS. Still, having a good NEET score can help in some tie-breaker situations. It's best to check each college's specific admission criteria.

Seth GS Medical College Mumbai and D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy Pune are among the top-ranked BPT colleges in the state. Both offer strong clinical exposure and are backed by reputed hospitals. KIMS Karad is another popular choice known for its infrastructure. These colleges are affiliated with MUHS Nashik, ensuring recognised degrees. Strong faculty and placement support make them a preferred pick. Government colleges here also offer very affordable fees.
