You will need to be 12th passed with Physics and Math. Along with this you should be medically fit having normal eyesight (with or without lenses) no colour blindness, normal hearing among others. The medical status is to be ascertained after undergoing a Class 2 medical examination by a DGCA approved doctor.

Experienced pilot on international route can get 5-6 lakh rupees per month as salary. To become a pilot, aspirants need to join Air flying schools after the completion of 10+2, they should clear the 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry and maths. Minimum marks should be 50%.

Training in commercial flying can be taken with flying clubs like the Rashtriya Udan Academy and private flying academies.
The training goes through 3 stages of licence. While they give training, placement is not their responsibility.
The licences have to be procured in the following order:
- Student Pilot Licence (SPL)
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
- Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
After class XI/XII (PCM) students can apply for the SPL.
On passing class XII (PCM) they may enrol

(a) Join any flying club to learn flying and obtain CPL license after 10+2 with physics and maths.
(b) Appear for NDA exam conducted by UPSC after 10+2 with PCM subjects to join Indian Air Force as a pilot.
(c) Appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC after graduation degree to join Indian Air Force as a pilot.

Eligibility:
10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in mathematics and physics. (If you don't have physics & maths in 10+2 you have an option of doing these two subjects from National Institute of Open Schoolings On-Demand Examinations and can still start your Pilot training course. At least 16 years of age to start pilot training. Vision in one eye must be perfect. (6/6 eyesight) In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal fu
