University of Plymouth offers a placement year which is also called a work-placement in industry. The placement is an integrated part of the degree for many subject areas at the university but it can be optional. The benefits of choosing a placement are given as follows:
· It enhanced employment prospects and many students will go back to their placement provider at the graduate level
· The placements will help the students in their improved skills and knowledge which includes the softer employability skills and specific technical skills and competencie
