Both Princeton & MIT are among the toughest institutes to secure admissions at. Their low acceptance rate is down to the limited availability of world class resources, that are only accessible to the best qualified candidates.
As far as acceptance rates are concerned, Princeton has an acceptance rate of 4.62%, which suggests it only accepts on average around 4 applications of every 100 it recieves.
The MIT acceptance rate of 4-5%, is not too high than Princeton's & it can said that both are selective to pretty much similar extents.
However, it is marginally easier to secure admissions at MIT than it is at Princeton.

In 1968, Princeton granted tenure to a female with the rank of full professor. Class of 1973 was the first batch to graduate with female students being a part of it. In 1974, admission became gender-bli
