If you are planning for engineering, then get a good score in 12th and engineering entrance test, and after completing that, you can choose your preferred branch in engineering.
Note: You can also change your branch in 1st year but only if you score good marks.

Don't be an "X developer". You're selling yourself short, if you define yourself by the technology you most frequently use.
