No, as per RCI guidelines, students, even after completion of post graduation in psychology from Indian universities, are not entitled to practice as clinical psychologists. They have to complete a two-year M.Phil programme from RCI recognised universities to be eligible. However, you can work as a counsellor after graduation in psychology. You can also teach Psychology as a subject after doing B.Ed. So, if you wish to become a practising psychologist, the minimum qualification is M.Phil.
Hope this helps.

Understandably, it might be a challenge for the first year, as you will not have learned the basic concepts, but no worries. Psychology is a subject that, if you are interested in the subject genuinely, you can surely catch up. Plus, reading your friends' class 11th and class 12th books might help (if you have the time for that, that is). Best college/university would depend on where you stay, where you are prepared to move, and, of course, your class 10th, class 11th and class 12th standard scores. Educational requirements to becoming a psychologist:
Psychologists require significant formal education. Becoming a licensed psychologist requires a graduate degree; however, with a Bachelor's degree you can work in the field of psychology, as an assistant or in a federal government department. Disciplines where you do not work directly with patients, such as industrial-organizational psychology, can be practiced with a master's degree, but patient care requires completion of a doctorate, which can involve significant clinical work experience. Psychologists must also maintain a license in order to practice. Regards.
