Chandigarh University does not rely on CLAT 2026 scores for LLB admissions. Instead, all applicants must take the university's own entrance exam, CUCET, which is the primary basis for selecting students. This means that even if you have a CLAT score, you cannot skip CUCET, as the university evaluates candidates according to its own admission process. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with 55–60% marks, depending on the program.

The internal process ensures fair assessment for all students and allows the university to consider not just test scores but also merit and scholarship eligibility. Preparing for CUCET is therefore the most impor

Both BA LLB and BBA LLB are good programs at Chandigarh University, and the better choice depends on your interest. If you prefer subjects like political science, sociology, psychology, and general humanities, then BA LLB is a better option. It helps you understand society, governance, and human behavior, which is useful in legal studies. On the other hand, if you're interested in management, finance, business, and corporate sectors, then BBA LLB is a great choice. Both programs are approved by the Bar Council of India, include practical training, and follow the same law curriculum. Admission for both requires CUCET, and you need a min

If you want to get an LLM in the future, Chandigarh University is a great choice. The law school focuses on giving students a good mix of theory and practice. Students learn a lot through moot courts, practicing writing legal documents, talking to legal experts, and getting to know people in the judicial community. All of these things help them prepare for more advanced legal studies like LLM.

The curriculum is updated and aligned with contemporary legal requirements, ensuring that students develop the analytical and research-oriented skills that are essential for postgraduate legal education.  The environment is supportive, intera

Hii! I think you can skip CLAT 2026, because you heard it right that Chandigarh University has its own entrance test i.e. CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test) and the test is very simple, if all your basics are clear you can easily pass the entrance exam. To give the CUCET exam the process is very simple and easy, you sign up for CUCET, prep a bit, and take the test. Your score in this exam basically decides whether you're in and even how much schalorship you can bag- like, you could get up to 100% if you do really well. After the test, if your score meets their cutoff, you move on the admission process.

No, Chandigarh University does not accept CLAT scores as a direct admission mode for its law programs. Even if you have a CLAT rank, you will still need to appear for CUCET, which is mandatory for all integrated law degrees like BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB. The rationale behind this is maintaining one uniform and transparent selection process for all applicants. CUCET is simple and student-friendly, requiring only 30/100 marks to qualify. Additionally, scholarships worth ₹200 crores are awarded on the basis of performance in CUCET, making it beneficial for students to take the exam. So while CLAT is a great national exam, it is no

No, taking the CLAT examination is not mandatory for admission into BA LLB at Chandigarh University. To be eligible for admission in the university, students need to qualify the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET), an important test for their admission to the university. With just a little better score in CUCET, students qualify for good scholarships, which greatly reduce fees. CUCET-qualified students are entitled to the scholarship but such students have to follow some rules to retain the grant. One most important rule is the CGPA requirement. This scholarship has to be renewed every year for students who must have a m
