Campus is known for being massive, lush & pollution-free making it an excellent space for cycling, jogging, or taking evening walks. It has large library, sports stadiums & multiple cafes like Nescafe that are popular student hangouts.

GGDSD College or SD College Chandigarh is a known private college. The institute is affiliated to Panjab University. The college is ranked 70 by NIRF under 'College' category in 2025. The highest and average package secured by the batch 2024 was INR 8.5 LPA and INR 6 LPA in 2024. Admissions in GGDSD are entrance based. The score of entrance exam like PU-CET is acceptable for the courses like BCom, BSc, etc. Overall, it is a good college with good ranking & placements.

GGDSD College has urban campus with easy access to downtown Chandigarh, markets and public transport. There are classrooms, library, computer labs, auditorium and sports ground typical of a government-aided city college. A number of societies like NSS, cultural and debating societies, literary clubs and occasional tech/finance clubs are there for students. Cultural fests and intercollegiate events are regular; scale varies year to year.
