Admission to BSc programme is based on a common entrance test conducted by BVDU, namely CET BBT. Candidates, who have completed Class 12 in Science stream, can apply for the same. However, the final selection of students will be based on the marks secured in CET BBT and HSC.

PhD programme is offered in two different specialisations. The institute offers a PhD programme with a minimum course duration of three years and a maximum of six. Admission to PhD programme is based on the UGC NET exam. Candidates, who have completed a master’s degree from a recognised university, are eligible to apply for PhD programme. The merit list of selected students will be based on the mark secured in UGC NET and the performance in the Personal Interview (PI).
