Yes, there is a provision for waiver of fee for SC/ST and General category students for the B.Tech and B.Arch programmes. The qualifying criteria is the candidate's AIR (CRL) rank in JEE Mains. The placement record is good. The average placement package is around INR. 4.5 lac and the highest goes around INR. 10 lacs. Hope it helps.

Yes, it is good as it is a GFTI. But, I think you should try harder and take admission in some better college. BIT Mesra is best for engineering. Hope it helps.
