Yes it is mandatory to pass in all the subjects to go for any college you want. You cannot proceed ahead, if you don't pass.

Hi Hartej, If you want to get CSE in BIT Mesra, then you need to have an AIR in between 4500 and 10000 in JEE Mains. For Thapar University, it should be between 10000 and 15000. All the best.
