In recent years, the RBSE has made slight changes in the exam pattern to align with evolving educational standards. For example, the number of objective or multiple-choice questions have increased in some subjects, encouraging more conceptual understanding. The board has also emphasized skill-based questions and practical applications of knowledge. However, dividing marks between theory, practicals, and internal assessment, the core RBSE 12th exam pattern remains the same. Rajasthan Board prescribes the exam pattern prior to the exam. The board prescribes the exam pattern in the form of sample paper. Moreover, the board also notifies the students about the pattern on its website in case any change is made in the pattern. The total duration of each paper of the RBSE Inter exams is three hours and fifteen minutes. Students are given an extra 15 minutes to read the question paper. The RBSE Class 12 exams are conducted in Hindi and English. Questions are asked in both Hindi and English languages except for language papers. The total marks in the RBSE Class 12 exams are 600. RBSE Board 12 exams are held for a total of six subjects. Each paper of the exam consists of 100 marks. 80 marks are distributed for the theory paper. While 20 marks are reserved for practical/internal exams. On the other hand, in some papers, theory exams are held for a total of 70 marks while practical papers are held for a total of 30 marks. The Ministry of Education (MoE) announced that Board exams will be conducted twice a year from the session 2024. The main objective behind conducting the Board exams twice is to allow the students to retain the best score in the exam. MoE also informed that the exams will be based on the new curriculum which has been developed for the academic session 2023-24. However, as of now, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has not confirmed that the RBSE class 10 and 12 exams will also be conducted Twice a year. Hence, it can be expected that the rbe exam will be conductd once a year.
