If any private college assures you placements then of course its better than MRM. IISWBM doesn't provide 100% placements in MRM.

Hi Ankush,
Both the courses are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth. Different courses are popular at different places and the popularity depends upon the day to day requirement of that place.
Always remember, you should pursue a stream/course based on two things :
-your career goal
-the type of job you want to do
Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute. However, we can help you with the parameters that you can keep in mind while choosing an institute

Retail in india is considered as Taboo. However it is a decent profession with inside sales and good career progression.
Eye for Luxury Retail as it is a big thing coming

The placements have been great this year. The average package was Rs 9.3 lakhs. We don't calculate the placements separately for courses, as RM students are essentially Marketing students, and are eligible to sit for all marketing profiles.

In Retail and E-biz the company looks at that particular profiles. Average package is around 7 Lacs. Approx 70-80% people get placed.
