In accordance with the eligibility criteria for RRB ALP, the age limit for Assistant Loco Pilots is set between 18 and 30 years. Candidates from different categories are eligible for certain relaxations in the RRB ALP age limit. The relaxation in the age limit is given below.

RRB ALP application form status is released after completion of the application process. To check the application status, candidates need to login with user ID and password. In case of application is rejected, candidates can view their status along with the reasons for rejection. No refund of exam fee will be made on account of rejection of application.

In case candidates want to edit the details filled in the 'Create an Account' form (Including mobile number and email ID), they need to pay a modification fee of INR 250. Each time they make any changes in the application, the required fees needs to be paid. Details filled in ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and Email ID) cannot be changed. The modification fee is to be paid by all candidates irrespective of community and category. In case candidates wants to modify their communities from SC/ST to UR or OBC or EWS, they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the

Online applications are rejected due to the following reasons:
- Invalid photos
- Multiple applications to different RRBs or same RRB
- Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB/RRC
- Any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB

Candidates can modify their RRB ALP application form after final submission by paying the modification fee of INR 250 (Non-Refundable). This facility can be availed only twice. Find the steps below:
- Go to the RRB ALP and Technician “ONLINE/E-Application” link on respective RRB websites
- Find the link for ‘Modify Application’ link, click on it
- A page will open for login, login using registration number and password
- Pay modification fee of Rs 250 online or offline
- After successful payment, login using Registration Number and Password again
- Proceed to modify the application form as required and submit the application
