Yes, NCERT books (from Class 6 to 10) are sufficient for covering basics of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for RRB Group D. The syllabus for RRB Group D General Science is given below.

RRB Group D mock tests are necessary for the exam preparation. Candidates must take one or two tests per week. Taking it depend on the individual preparation levels. Candidates must practice the same regularly to improve speed and accuracy.

With proper preparation, candidates can crack RRB Group D exam in 6 months. Candidates need to cover two subjects in a day. They should keep one day in a week for revision. Candidates must prepare Current Affairs on daily basis. Candidates must also attempt mock test to improve speed and accuracy of solving questions.

Candidates should be thorough with the RRB Group D exam pattern. They should also know the topics given in the syllabus. Candidates must also practice the previous years question papers. They should also refer to good books and study materials.

Candidates should focus on RRB NTPC preparation for four to six hours daily. This also depends on the current level of preparation and familiarity with the subjects. It is with hardwork and determination that candidates will be able to crack the exam.

NCERT books are usually helpful for preparing the subjects such as History, Geography, Polity, and Science basics in the General Awareness section. The standard of questions asked in the RRB NTPC exam is of high school level. The total marks allotted to the test are 100.
