According to several of my Dayanand Sagar College friends, if a student misses one interval, he or she has two possibilities.

The internal marks for an interval are the best of the three. As a result, there is still time to correct the previous error. Students who have missed an interval may attend the remaining two and receive the requisite grade, which is completely acceptable to the institute.
Inform the Head of Department of your circumstance. It is his/her responsibility to make decisions based on your reasoning. There is no need to be concerned if you have a valid justification supported by proofs and papers. They are quite considerate in that case.
The Department Head may grant you permission to take the test later if they believe the reasons are genuine after viewing your case.

Any candidate who has successfully completed a B.Sc. in a Life Sciences or Biosciences discipline, a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, B.E. (Biotechnology), Veterinary or Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, or a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery, or an equivalent examination recognised by DSU is eligible for admission to the M.Sc. programme. For candidates who belong to the SC/ST category, the minimum cumulative eligibility requirement is 45%. Note: In order to be admitted to the M.Sc. in Biochemistry programme, a candidate must have studied either biochemistry or chemistry as one of their majors in college.
