The basic eligibility criteria for the SAGE University Bhopal MA course is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline from a recognised university/Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognised school. Candidates must also have SEE exam score therefore candidates must have a valid qualification for the exam as listed below:
- Candidates should have passed or appeared in class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 60% in class 12
- Candidates should be of minimum 17 years of age on the year of admission

The eligibility criteria is same for all the Centre for Liberal and Advanced Studies, SAGE University Bhopal UG courses. Aspirants need to complete graduation to apply for PG courses. Below is detailed eligibility criteria for UG and PG programmes:
UG courses: Aspirants need to complete Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate.
PG courses: Candidates need to pass a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Relevant work experience may be considered.

Centre for Liberal and Advanced Studies, SAGE University Bhopal selects candidates for MBA programme based on CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round. The centre also evaluates the past academic record, statement of purpose and extracurricular ectivities and achievements of the candidates for final admission.
