Yes, College Board releases the SAT exam dates, SAT exam registration dates along with when the SAT exam results will be declared. Hence, there are rarely any changes in the proposed dates or timelines as released by College Board for SAT aspirants. Thus, applicants should keep themselves updated with the exam dates and exam result dates as well.

In case an applicant has missed on a particular SAT exam date, then he/she can apply for the next or the upcoming exam date. The applicant can try and apply on the last deadline for registration. In case they miss out on the last date of the deadline also, then there is only one option, that is, to apply for the next date available. The applicants should ideally, keep a check on the upcoming SAT exam dates and their corresponding dates for registration as well.

After choosing the SAT exam date, it'll take at least 6-12 weeks to prepare for the SAT exam depending on the applicant's previous knowledge also. Thus, SAT preparation time can vary from individual to individual. But the key to crack the SAT exam is ample practice of mock tests. Make sure you have enough time so you have the SAT score with you at the time of the application process at the foreign university as well so that they have their scores while applying.

No, applicants will not be allowed to enter the SAT exam centre if the details of the SAT date and registrations do not match. Students will have to appear for their SAT exam on their selected SAT date only and not before or after the chosen date. Once the SAT date of exam is missed, applicants will have to apply again and then appear for the exam. Please note, that such tactics will not prove beneficial for the applicants.
