Since SAT Digital is the new way of taking test that is, online and the duration of the test has reduced, the time of SAT result declaration has also reduced. When SAT was tested on paper the results were released in 3 weeks but SAT Digital results are released in a span of 12-13 days from the date of examination. Students can sit for SAT exam accordingly and send across their SAT scores to the respective universities they are applying to. Applicants must ensure that they sit for that SAT exam date, where they can get their SAT score results within the application submission timeline

An applicant's total score is between 400 and 1600. The total SAT score is the sum of the two section scores: Reading & Writing, and Maths. Both of these sections can accommodate a possible score range of 200 – 800. The Reading & Writing score is composed of the Reading Test plus the Language Test, and each which collectively contributes to a sectional SAT score. The SAT Math section score is made up of the Math questions' answers only. Thus, no SAT section score can go beyond 800 because the questions are marked in a pre-defined manner. Thus, applicants can score overall on 1600 scale.

No, SAT doesn not usually demand class 12th scores or grades from its prospective applicants to deem them eligible for appearing for the SAT exam. The students may have to fill in their level of understanding of certain subjects and co-curricular activities and they will not be required to submit score related details even while registering. But it is definitely better to appear for SAT after class XII because of the level of knowledge.

Yes, 12 year olds can also sit for SAT exam, they are eligible for the exam, but they will not be able to register for SAT on their own. A guardian or parent will have to apply for SAT exam on behalf of the 12 year old. Thus, parent or guardian will have to take guarantee and register on behalf of their child for the SAT exam. Once the child turns 13, he/she can apply on their own if they still wish to appear for the SAT exam. Its best to prepre for SAT exam and then sit for the exam.

A valid ID proof is required to register for the SAT test. Also, you need the ID at the test center as well without this you will not be allowed to enter. As such there is no proof required to prove eligiblity of the applicant at the registration level. Only a photograph is sufficient for SAT registrations, but a valid government issued ID proof would be required to enter the SAT test centre. Without the ID proof, the applicants will not be allowed entry at the SAT exam centre. The applicants should have valid identification proofs so that they are eligible to sit for SAT exam.

Yes, more or less the rescheduling part is now disabled and cancellation is the only option. In order to reschedule a SAT exam date, applicants will have to cancel the existing SAT registration for which they will be charged based on the timeline of cancellation either USD 29 or USD 39. After the registered SAT date has been cancelled, applicants have to re-register for a new SAT exam date.

Note: Previously there was an option for rescheduling the SAT exam with an additional charge, but now applicants have to cancel the registration and pay the fee, then register again and again pay the fee.

Thus, it is recommended that applicants

No, there is no process of changing SAT dates without additional charges. This is for students who are unable to sit for SAT exam on their chosen date while registering can either cancel taking the SAT exam or register for another date with an additional fee of USD 25. Students can make a choice by logging on to their College Board profile and select the appropriate option of either cancelling taking the SAT exam or altering the SAT exam date to a later date with an additional fee. Once the student makes the choice, he or she can save their changes and submit. But it is always better for applicants to make a choice in the first go rath

While registering for SAT exam students are permitted to choose only one SAT exam date. There is no option of making multiple selections for SAT exam dates on College Board. Students ideally should prepare themselves and ensure that they apply for the SAT date only when they are able to sit for the exam and score as per their expectations. Thus, making changes to SAT dates is possible but multiple selections are not. Applicants should thus, make up their minds before hand and then make the final choice because altering choices can be costly for them at a later stage.
