To be eligible for BCom Prog. from DU, candidates must have completed their Class 12 with the following subject conditions:
- Combination 1: Any one language from List A along with one among Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1 OR
- Combination 2: Any one language from List A along with one among Accountancy/ Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1

The BTech in Food Technology programme got discontinued and is not offered at BAMU anymore. BAMU Aurangabad candidates can opt for various other specialisations offered under the BTech programme. The eligibility criteria to apply for the BTech programme at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University is Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent to 50 percent aggregate. The accepted entrance exams are MHT CET, JEE Main, ICAR AIEEA, MPBSE 12th, CBSE 12th, Maharashtra HSC, and others.

The BTech in Food Technology course got discontinued in January 2023. The candidates can opt for various other specialisations offered under the BTech course. The eligibility criteria to apply for the BTech is Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent and 50 percent aggregate. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main, MHT CET, ICAR AIEEA, CBSE 12th, MPBSE 12th, Maharashtra HSC, and others.

The West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development has discontinued the JEXPO exam. Admissions are now based on a merit list prepared on the qualifying exam results.

The JEXPO exam has been discontinued. Admissions are based on the qualifying examination only. Earlier, syllabus included Number Systems & Algebra, Linear Equations & Ratios, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability.

At the undergraduate level, the University of Delhi offers BSc (Hons) across over 10 specialisations which offer merit-based admission to the students up until 2021. However, starting 2022, DU admission to all the UG courses are conducted via CUET UG. CUET-UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission to all undergraduate courses in various central universities, including the University of Delhi.

The separate placement data for Food Technology has not been released officially. However, the overall statistics are available. The institute has successfully placed 116 students during the 2024 drive. Earlier, 90 students were placed during 2023 placements. Looking at the past three years' data (2022 to 2024), a fluctuating trend was observed in the number of students placed. Take a look at the table below depicting the LIT Nagpur placement trends:
