Applicants, while filling their application form, will be given four choices: PCB, PCM, PAG, and PHS. Students will have to choose any of these choices in the form according to their educational qualification. They will be given a paper of their choice in the UPCATET exam. There will be no change in the examination hall for any paper under any cicrumstances hence applicants must choose carefully while filling the form.

Yes, applicants who pass the 12th standard exam with compartment will also be eligible to appear in the UPCATET exam. There are no passing percentage marks for the UPCATET exam. Candidates need to just pass the exam. But there are wise criteria which must be abided by. Students should be between 16 and less than 22 years of age on December 31, 2026. Applicants who fulfil both criteria need to fill UPCATET application form and appear in the exam.

Since you're from the commerce stream (12th std) and want to pursue BA Psychology, most Indian universities do NOT require Psychology as a compulsory domain subject in CUET.
How it generally works (CUET-UG):
For BA Psychology, universities usually ask for:
Language paper (English or any one language) ✅
Any 2–3 domain subjects from Class 12 (Commerce subjects are acceptable) ✅

No, there is no provision to submit objections against the NEST final answer keys. Based on the objections received on the provisional answer keys, the expert committee will release the final answer keys. These will be final and cannot be further challenged. The NEST result will be based on the final answer keys.

The NEST answer keys will be available in PDF format. Candidates have to log in to the exam portal to download it. Their response sheets will also be released. Based on that, they can calculate their scores.

The total duration of the NEST exam is three hours. The timing of the exam is from 2 PM to 5 PM. Candidates belonging to the PWD category will be given compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour as per the Government of India guidelines. Test takers will not be allowed to leave the centre before 4 PM for medical reasons. Entry will not be allowed after 3 PM. Students have to attempt at least three sections in the exam.

No, there is no age limit to appear for the NEST exam. Candidates planning to appear for the exam must fulfil the other eligibility criteria in terms of clearing the Class 12 Board exam in the Science stream with the category-wise minimum aggregate percentage.

The NEST exam is conducted in computer-based mode. Questions will appear on the computer screen one by one. With the help of the mouse, they have to select the correct answer option and click on Save and Submit tabs. An onscreen clock will be provided to keep track of the time. An onscreen scientific calculator will also be given for calculation. Rough work has to be done on the paper and pen given to them at the centre. To make the candidates familiar with the NEST exam interface and navigation system, authorities will release a mock test before the actual exam is scheduled.

Applicants who qualify the UPCATET exam for the respective courses for which they have applied further need to appear in counselling. Applicants need to join counselling process possess the following items i.e Mobile phone, email id, date of birth, roll number and scanned copy of documents.
The process of counselling includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment, uploading of document, document verification, dowloading of allotment letter and last admission process of the allotted universities.
