The NEST exam is conducted in computer-based mode. Questions will appear on the computer screen one by one. With the help of the mouse, they have to select the correct answer option and click on Save and Submit tabs. An onscreen clock will be provided to keep track of the time. An onscreen scientific calculator will also be given for calculation. Rough work has to be done on the paper and pen given to them at the centre. To make the candidates familiar with the NEST exam interface and navigation system, authorities will release a mock test before the actual exam is scheduled.
