The M.Sc. in Applied Data Science of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) aims to prepare candidates with the expertise of handling big data set management and valuable insights' derivation. The admission policy of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai for the undergraduate programmes has certain conditions. For Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme, the admission is done on the basis of HSSC or any equivalent examination conducted by any recognized Board of Examination with not less than 45 % marks in aggregate. To pursue Bachelor of Science (BSc) the candidate should have passed the HSSC examination or any other equivalent examination securing at least 55% of the total aggregate marks. For Bachelor of Commerce (BCom programme) The candidate must have passed the HSSC exam or any other examinations equivalent to it with having minimum 45% total marks and 40% marks in Mathematics. The college also affords reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates according to the state government rules though half the percentage of students in the college are Christian minority candidates.

For admission to the BSc programme in Biology at the IISc, the candidates have to face the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) test or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Advanced. OU considers the scores of these exams for admission into its undergraduate programmes among the disciplines it offers include: KVPY exam takes place every year and hence the cutoff marks also tends to differs every year. The cutoffs for the SA stream for students studying in class 12 for the 2022 exam were 55-60 for the general category students. The statured Bangalore IISc offered a 4 year BS programme in Biology, which takes 30-40 students every year.

B.Sc in Geology, Fergusson College also is one of the premier institute in the field of Science in Pune. Traditionally the college set a high cutoff percentage to join this program. The percentage of cutoff was around 95.60 % for the students passing through the Maharashtra State Board for Bsc Geology for the academic year 2022 - 2023. If you are from the PUC Karnataka board then your percentage system will be considered. It has been record that average percentage of students across this schools ranges from 94% and so it may be challenging to be offered admission. But then again, a few intakes are available for students from other boards and therefore, it is advisable to participate in the exercise.
