CUET is the only national-level entrance exam, conducted by NTA, which is accepted by the BSc Home Science colleges across the country. Some other university and state-level exams are also conducted by a few institutions such as UPCATET, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, OUAT entrance exam, etc.

No! You can opt for any BSc course without having a Science stream in Class 12. However, if you want to pursue Home Science at your UG level, you can go for a BA in Home Science. Every candidate is eligible for a BA Home Science course, irrespective of their stream in Class 12.

BSc Home Science is considered one of the easiest specializations in the Science stream. Unlike other BSc specializations like Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, etc., there are no complex numerical, terminologies, formulas, etc. The BSc Home Science course curriculum is based majorly on theoretical knowledge.

The minimum marks needed to appear for the AUCET entrance exam to get admission to BSc at Andhra University differ on the basis of the candidates' category.
