As a course of Animation and VFX is good combination after you have done your B.TECH in IT as you would have core knowledge about different softwares so it would be beneficial for the long run in your career as well and it would add the extra feather in your cap. And if you are eagerly waiting to join this course you should search in Ahemdabad as there are various institutes those who provide VFX with different software and Ahemdabad is one of the leading cities in India that is providing training in this field.

To decide on the course, you should analyse your strengths, career goals, interests, personality, aptitude and ability. If you decide based on these parameters you will put in your best effort and will be successful in your chosen field. Always remember, you should pursue a stream/course based on two things :
-your career goal
-the type of job you want to do
Please feel free to discuss more.
Wish you luck.

For being eligible to apply for MCA, you have to have mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or statistics as one of the subjects at graduation level. If you fulfil these criteria you are eligible for MCA.
As far as other information regarding MCA is concerned, we would like to state that most of the entrance tests are conducted in April or May. Notifications are out in January or February. The combined MCA entrance tests held in India are: NIMCET for NITs, CET Maharashtra for Maharashtra colleges, UPMCAT for most colleges in UP, Andhra Pradesh CET for Colleges in Andhra Pradesh,Orissa State MCA Test for all College
