It will take a little more than 6 months to complete the SEED exam syllabus. However, if your fundamentals are strong, you can complete the syllabus in less time. SEED 2026 syllabus will include Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.

It is recommended that the candidate not wait for the last few months to prepare for SEED exam. If one starts exam preparation early, then one will have enough elbow room to tweak one's preparation is the situation demands.

The SEED 2024 syllabus will be released by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). It is very possible that the candidate finds some topics difficult. When the candidate encounters difficult topics, the first urge should be to try a little harder to tackle the topic. But if you are not able to get it done with that extra effort, it is better to take the help of a teacher, peer, or a guide. Or else you will end up spending prodigious time. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des programme offered by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) first needs to appear in the SEED 2024 written exam. Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in a PRPI round. The final merit list for admission to SID will be prepared based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction.

Note that if the candidate doesn’t participate in the PRPI round, he or she will not be considered for admission. The allotment of seats to the B.Des programme will be based on the merit rank of the candidate.

The syllabus for the design aptitude test is prescribed by the exam conducting authority, the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). With this, the exam pattern is also decided by it. The candidate must note that SID reserves the right to make any changes it deems necessary to the exam syllabus. So, the candidate must consult the updated exam pattern when strating their exam preparation. Note that typically wholesale changes to the exam syllabus is not done.

For instance, the exam syllabus for UCEED 2024 has been changed, but some parts are kept as it is.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has its own specific syllabus that is followed for conducting the SEED entrance exam. The SEED syllabus covers topics like Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment. There are some topics that overlaps with some of the top design entrance exams like NIFT, NID DAT, etc. However, there are also a number of features that are unique to the SEED 2024 exam.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) doesn’t frequently change the syllabus for the SEED exam. That being said SID reserves the right to make any changes to the syllabus keeping in the mind the changing dynamics of design as an academic discipline. So, it is recommended that candidates keep visitng our page for any the latest update on the SEED 2024 exam syllabus.

The syllabus for the SEED exam 2024 will be released online at sid.edu.in. It will contain the section-wise topics that candidates need to practice for the design entrance exam.

As per SEED syllabus, question paper will include questions from Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment. The candidate may solve previous years' question papers to get an idead regarding the types of questions asked and difficulty level. 

The follwing types of questions will be asked in SEED 2026 - MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension based. The duration of the SEED exam will be 60 minutes, while there will be 60 questions.

The candidate can download the official syllabus of SEED 2024 from the official website of the Symbiosis Institute of Design - sid.edu.in. In the homepage of SID, click on “Admission Process” under “Programmes.” The window that opens will contain information on the SEED 2024 syllabus. The candidate can note down the syllabus. The other option is to visit our page and download the updated syllabus for the SEED 2024 exam. 

The SEED 2024 syllabus will contain the topics from which questions will be asked in the exam.
