SEED 2026 written exam will be 60 minutes. The question paper will include 60 questions. Question paper will have MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension-based questions.

  • Click good quality pictures of these and compile them in a PowerPoint presentation of a maximum 15 slides. Convert this into a PDF of up to 5 Mb.
  • Take pictures that are different from others. Do not copy others.
  • Try to include Sketches, mixed media illustrations and digital work, college of images, 2D and 3D articles, photography and 3D objects like sculpture, fabric products, gadgets, art inspired products, etc.

In SEED Entrance Exam, MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension-based questions can be asked.

The question paper will contain a mix of questions related to Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.

SEED 2026 First Merit List for B.Des will be announced on April 21, 2026 (Tuesday). The merit list for M.Des will be announced on May 15, 2026 (Friday).

Yes, you need to participate in the SEED counselling even if you are a topper of Class 12 boards exam. Admission to Symbiosis Institute of Design is offered through SEED entrance exam.

No, SEED M.Des 2026 application forms have not been released yet. The applications are out only for the B.Des programme by Symbiosis Institute of Design. M.Des Applications for 2026 are expected to be out soon.

It will take around 6 months to complete the SEED 2026 exam syllabus. SEED syllabus will include topics like Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.

The syllabus for the design aptitude test is prescribed by the exam conducting authority, the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). With this, the exam pattern is also decided by it. The candidate must note that SID reserves the right to make any changes it deems necessary to the exam syllabus. So, the candidate must consult the updated exam pattern when strating their exam preparation. Note that typically wholesale changes to the exam syllabus is not done.

For instance, the exam syllabus for UCEED was changed in 2023, but some parts were kept as it is.

The SEED 2026 syllabus is released by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). It is very possible that the candidate finds some topics difficult. When the candidate encounters difficult topics, the first urge should be to try a little harder to tackle the topic. But if you are not able to get it done with that extra effort, it is better to take the help of a teacher, peer, or a guide. Or else you will end up spending prodigious time. Also, if you are not able to get any help at the moment, you may consider leaving out that topic for the moment. And once you are done with the rest of the topics, you can come back and try out the diffic

SEED syllabus will include questions from Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment. The candidate may solve previous years' question papers to get an idea regarding the types of questions asked and difficulty level. 

Questions will be asked in SEED MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension based. The duration of the SEED exam will be 60 minutes, while there will be 60 questions.
