There is no maximum time limit to start preparation. Candidates can start preparing for the SLAT exam any time when they decide to sit for it. You can refer to previous year papers for the exam overview.

The Symbiosis International University does not provide any concessions to reserved category candidates on the SLAT application fee. Candidates belonging to all categories are required to pay the same amount as the SLAT fee. The SLAT Institute fee for candidates in all categories is also equal. In 2026, the SLAT application fee is INR 2250 for all applicants.

A candidate desirous of submitting his candidate to select UG programmes is also required to complete the payment process for the desired programme before the losing date for payment of the same. Payment towards the programmes must be made through the website only (set-test.org). After making the payment for SLAT, proceed to complete the online registration form (Part II) for programme registration and the respective institute (s). A candidate is required to make a separate, non-refundable, and non-transferable payment of INR 1000 per programme per institute at this stage.

To pay the application fee for SLAT 2023, candidates were required to follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to the official website of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org.

2. After visiting the website, candidates were required to fill out SLAT registration form 2023 by entering their basic details and One-Time Password sent to their mobile number.

3. In the next step, applicants paid the SLAT application fee of INR 1950 online through Billdesk Gateway or Indian Bank Gateway or offline through Demand Draft.

The SLAT 2023 application fee was INR 1950 that could be paid online while filling out the SLAT application form 2023 on the website of Symbiosis Entrance Test. Candidates were also required to pay an additional application fee of INR 1000 to apply to each Symbiosis Law School.
