SLAT 2022: Symbiosis International (Deemed University) will be conducting SLAT 2022 on July 03 from 9 am to 10 am. The last date to apply for SLAT 2022 is June 15.  SLAT admit card will be issued to all registered candidates from June 22 onwards. SIU will announce SLAT 2022 results on July 12. Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2022 will be held in CBT mode across 80 test cities in the nation. What is SLAT 2022?

SLAT also known as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT). It is a common entrance exam for admission in 4 Symbiosis law schools (SLS), which are SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur. The courses in which admission is offered are BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BA LLB and BBA LLB. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) conducts SLAT annually. The exam shall be held in computer-based test mode. The duration of the test is 60 minutes and there are 60 MCQs of 60 marks in the test. Based on the scores of SLAT, candidates are shortlisted by the SLS. The selected candidates have to then appear for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). Further, based on the scores of SLAT, PI and WAT a merit list is drawn for admission in respective Symbiosis law schools.

SLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

To participate in SLAT 2022, candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Qualifying exam: Passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognised Board.
  • Minimum marks in qualifying exam: Minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes).

Steps to apply for SLAT 2022: The steps to apply for SLAT 2022 is online entirely, check below.

  1. Visit the official website of SLAT 2022: set-test.org and click on ‘Apply Now'.
  2. Click ‘register’ and fill out the registration form.
  3. Upload the scanned images.
  4. Click on 'save and continue'.
  5. Candidates will receive an Id and password on their registered email id and mobile number. Keep them safe.
  6. After this candidates have to fill out the application form.
  7. Make payment.

SLAT 2022 application fee: The SLAT fee to be paid at the time of registration, are of 2 kinds - registration fee and programme fee, which are as follow:

SLAT 2022 Admission Process

The admission process of SLAT 2022 includes the following stages:

  1. Apply for SLAT 2022: The application process is online and the candidates apply online at set-test.org.
  2. Appear for SLAT 2022: The registered candidates have to appear for the SLAT exam
  3. Check SLAT 2022 result: SLAT result and scorecard is announced on the official website.
  4. Appear for PI and WAT: Based on the SLAT score, candidates are shortlisted for WAT-PI rounds. Please check the respective Institute website for information and dates of WAT-PI.
  5. Admission in SLS: Once the candidates qualify all the stages - SLAT, PI and WAT, they shall get into one of the Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS). The admission is based on the marks of the candidates in all the stages taken together.

SLAT 2022 Admit Card

SIU releases the SLAT admit card 2022 online under the respective logins of the candidates. Candidates have to download the admit card and carry it to the allotted exam centre to take entry. Candidates have to use their SET ID/email ID and password to login and download the SLAT 2022 admit card. On the admit card, candidates can check the allotted exam centre address, reporting time, exam date, and other important details to be followed on the day of the exam.

With the SLAT 2022 admit card, candidates have to carry the below-given items:

  • Valid original Photo Identity proof (passport/driving license/voter id card/PAN card/aadhaar card/college id card)

After downloading the admit card:

  • Take a coloured print of the admit card. Balck and White printout is not accepted.
  • Ensure that the latest passport size, colour photograph is pasted on the admit card at the place provided. The photograph should not be more than 3 months old).

SLAT 2022 Exam Centres

SLAT 2022 Result

The result of SLAT 2022 is made available on the official website in the form of a scorecard. The scorecard bears the marks of the candidates in the entrance exam. Candidates can check the SLAT result online on the official website of the exam by entering their login details such as SET ID and password.

Candidates who qualify in the SLAT written entrance exam then need to appear for the Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (WAT) admission round. This is the last and final step of the admission process for Symbiosis Law School. PI-WAT round is conducted at individual SLS campuses. The final merit list contains the names of shortlisted candidates for admission in law programmes offered at SLS.

SLAT 2022 final merit list is prepared based on the following weightages:

Candidates who get shortlisted based on SLAT scores are then called for PI and WAT. Candidates have to check the respective institute website for information and dates of PI-WAT/ST-PI.

Category-wise cut off for Merit List and Wait List will be displayed on the website of the respective institutes based on total scores of SLAT, PI and WAT. The waitlist movement will depend upon the vacant seats available.

Q: How to apply for SLAT 2022?

A: You need to register on the website set-test.org. At the time of online registration, you have to upload your latest scanned coloured passport size photo which should not be more than 3 months old.

Q: How do I apply for Symbiosis Law School?

A: You need to register on the website set-test.org. You then have to pay an entrance test registration fee. Additionally, you have to pay the programme registration fee. Payment mode could be via Billdesk Payment Gateway or Indian Bank Payment Gateway or Demand Draft. The payment process must be completed before the closing date of payment of the same. Then clear the SLAT 2022 examination.

Q: Is there any negative marking in SLAT 2022?

A: No, there is no negative marking in SLAT.

Q: What is the eligibility for SLAT 2022?

A: In such cases, you have to visit set-test.org and click on the “forgot password” option. Provide your email id and get a confirmation mail to reset your password.

Q: Is SLAT online or offline?

A: Online mode only. SLAT 2022 will be held in CBT mode. Depending on the prevailing pandemic situation of COVID-19, the schedules, as well as the nature/structure of the exams, can change, and all tests can be conducted entirely online or entirely offline or in a combination of both modes at the discretion of SIU.

Q: How can I prepare for SLAT 2022?

A: Make a detailed study plan or timetable and don’t forget to add enough breaks. Keep it simple!  While studying, practice the difficult topics more to get a grip on the subject.  Keep going through the question papers from the previous years, it will give you a clear idea about the types of questions.  Record the time when you take your mock tests. This will keep a check on the time taken for solving questions. Many online portals offer mock tests which you should take to identify your strengths and weaknesses.  There are professional tutors and coaching classes that can help you prepare for SLAT in a more streamlined way. The key is to keep practising and don’t lose focus.
