The varsity announced the SLAT Merit List 2026 dates for each SLS separately. The SLAT 2026 Results were announced. Aspirants can download the SLAT Scorecard 2026 by visiting slat-test.org. Candidates must note that each SLS will conduct its own SLAT 2026 Counselling and admission process. The SLAT Counselling Dates 2026 have been announced separately by every SLS.
Candidates who wish to appear for SLAT Counselling must complete the registration on or before the deadline. The counselling process for SLAT is online. SLAT Counselling Process 2026
SLAT 2026 counselling is conducted as follows:
- Online counselling registration and fee payment: Candidates will have to register for the counselling online from the SLAT official website. Candidates registering successfully are issued call letters to appear for PIrounds.
- Appearing for PI: Candidates have to appear for PI rounds where a panel of judges tests candidates based on general awareness, legal knowledge and other relevant topics.
- Merit list and selection rounds - Based on SLAT scores, PI scores each institute prepares its own merit list and, the shortlisted candidates have to secure a seat by paying the admission fee and completing other formalities.

SLAT 2026 Selection Criteria
Each participating college of SLAT conducts PI for final selection of candidates is based on the following parameters (with weightage out of 100 marks):

Documents required for SLAT 2026 Counselling
The candidates participating in the counselling process should carry the following documents in original as well as photocopies to the counselling venue. The documents required are,
- Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Class 10th mark sheet and certificate.
- Class 12th mark sheet.
Candidates who are appearing or awaiting results of the class 12th or equivalent examination should submit a Bonafide certificate issued by the current school. Besides, candidates should also carry the printout of SLAT 2026 application form, scorecard and SLAT 2026 admit card.

The Symbiosis Internation Law University has discontinued Writing Ability Test from the SLAT Admission Process. For the current SLAT 2026 admissions cycle, and since the 2025 cycle, the selection process is based solely on a candidate's performance in the main SLAT entrance exam and a subsequent Personal Interview (PI) round.
SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.
The SLAT merit list for a particular year is a list containing the name, registration number, and roll number of the candidates who achieved marks equal to or higher than the SLAT cut-off for the SLAT entrance exam conducted in the same year. The SLAT cut-off is made up of scores secured by candidates in the SLAT exam, PI and What. A merit list includes the name, roll number, registration number, collective marks secured by them in SLAT What, and PI their merit rank, and category. Based on the selection of candidates in the SLAT merit lists for a particular 5-year LL.B. Programme, seats are offered to each candidate. They need to book their respective seats by paying the admission before the due date ascertained by the SLS from whose merit list they get selected.
