Social Work

UGC NET Exam is conducted two times a year in the month of June and December usually. The UGC NET Exam mainly is conducted in the two phases UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2. The UGC NET Paper 1 is conducted in the General Aptitude test whereas the UGC NET Paper 2 is conducted in the Subject you have completed the Masters programme. There are more than 80 subjects in the UGC NET Exam and Social Work is one of the important subjects of UGC NET Exam. The UGC NET Paper 1 has 50 questions to be attempted in 60 minutes. After an M.A. Social Work, there are options in research degree, if you wish to pursue an academic career in Social Work. You can opt for M.Phil in Social Work which is available at universities like:

Bangalore
Jaipur National University, Jaipur
Ph.D in Social Work or M.Phil in Social Work is available at universities, such as Bharathiar University and Jamia Millia Islamia University. Another option can be M.Phil in Women Studies which is offered by universities such as Jadavpur University and the University of Calicut. If you have completed M.A. In Social work, you also set up their own NGO. Career options are open to both government and private organizations and interested students can also join international organizations such as UNICEF or UNESCO etc. There are various issues on which a social worker can work.
